Role Description The Chief Administrative Officer is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Boise, ID, responsible for overseeing the department’s administrative functions and supporting strategic priorities. This position manages financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, and ensures compliance with city policies, labor agreements, and applicable regulations. The role includes supervising administrative staff, optimizing internal processes, and coordinating with division leaders in Operations, Fire Prevention, and Emergency Management to support effective service delivery. The Chief Administrative Officer prepares reports and presentations for senior leadership, contributes to long-term planning initiatives, and leads projects to improve efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and organizational performance. Daily responsibilities also involve stakeholder communication, policy development support, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications
