Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Temporary Customer Service Associate, also known as a Gallery Ambassador, to join our team. This role involves engaging with visitors, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting sales initiatives within our retail environment. Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly and assist them with inquiries about exhibits and products
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about featured items or exhibits
- Upsell merchandise and promote special offers to enhance visitor experience and sales
- Maintain visual merchandising standards by stocking shelves, cleaning and organizing displays of art
- Ensure the retail area is clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries via phone or email
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Support team members with supervising responsibilities during busy periods
- Engage visitors with friendly communication skills, including bilingual support if applicable
Experience
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math concepts such as basic math skills are advantageous
- Experience in merchandising, product demos, or upselling techniques is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer engagement skills, are essential

Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 30.0 per week
