We’re seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to join our Fairburn team. Our company specializes in the sales, service, and repair of boilers and boiler-related equipment, with offices in Georgia and Tennessee. This role involves guiding a team of technicians, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safety compliance while delivering outstanding customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead technicians in preventive maintenance on industrial and hydronic boilers.
Train entry-level technicians on shutdown, opening, annual maintenance, closing, and safe startup procedures.
Conduct monthly safety checks and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Perform hydro testing and combustion analysis.
Troubleshoot issues with boilers, deaerators, feed tanks, and pumps.
Provide excellent customer service, using clear and professional industry-specific communication.
Assist the coordinator in managing staffing needs to complete jobs efficiently.
Identify and recommend service items outside the scope of work with attention to detail.
Complete all duties assigned by the Service Manager and Service Coordinator.
Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
Qualifications & Education
High school diploma or equivalent (technical school preferred).
2–3 years of relevant maintenance/boiler experience required.
Strong knowledge of boiler systems and maintenance procedures.
Proven ability to train, teach, and mentor entry-level technician.
Skilled in troubleshooting, hydro testing, and combustion analysis.
Excellent customer service and strong technical communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to make accurate service recommendations.

Physical Requirements
Stand or walk for 6 hours daily; sit in a vehicle for up to 8 hours.

Lift/move 50 lbs from floor to waist and overhead.
Use hands to handle tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, talk, or hear.
Maintain full vision capabilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus).
