The Role You'll Play:
You won't just work on projects, you'll shape them. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll lead the development and delivery of innovative airfield solutions. From runways to taxiways, planning to pavement, you'll be collaborating with junior engineers and project managers to meet federal, state, and client-specific guidelines while keeping budget and schedule top of mind.
Your Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will focus on:
- Project Leadership -- Lead key aviation engineering projects across New Mexico, from concept through completion.
- Design & Documentation -- Guide the preparation of construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D, develop technical specifications, and coordinate task orders and contract documentation.
- Collaboration -- Work closely with junior engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure alignment with design standards, regulations, and client expectations.
- Mentorship -- Support and mentor emerging professionals on the team, helping to grow the next generation of aviation engineers.
What We Are Looking For
- Professional Experience -- 11-20 years of civil engineering experience, preferably with aviation or government clients (municipal, state, federal)
- Education -- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Licensure -- PE license in New Mexico (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Knowledge of Aviation -- Experience with runway/taxiway design, drainage, airport planning, or airfield lighting is a strong plus. Familiarity with FAARFIELD and other aviation engineering tools are welcomed.
- Technical Skills -- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Excel
