Job Summary
Small electrical contractor out of Northwest Arkansas seeking a skilled electrician with a well rounded work history.
This position is 50-60% travel, between Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and occasionally Colorado. The out of town work is 100% commercial on big box stores, usually involving re-routing existing circuits for product displays. Our company acts as general contractor on these projects, and the electrical scope for these stores usually involves quite a bit of "waiting around" for our other trades to move, assemble, or dismantle fixtures and displays, but we work as a team and the electricians are expected to assist the rest of the team with these duties as the need arises. In other words, we are looking for an electrician who doesn't think that helping move shelving and product displays is beneath him.
Additionally, on the longer out of town projects, we tend to house employees in AirBnb's in lieu of hotels to ensure that each employee gets their own bedroom, so it will be beneficial for you to be a neat and tidy housemate.
**Per diem, paid lodging, and paid travel applies to any work over 90 minutes from 72714
The in-town work is almost exclusively residential, incliding both new construction and remodels.
Our ideal candidate will:
· Be proficient at reading and interpreting commercial and residential electrical prints
· Work independently without direct supervision
· Have strong troubleshooting skills
· Have at least 3 years of commercial experience
· Possess their own hand and power tools
· Have reliable transportation
· Be a team player (cliche, but true)
