Concrete Finisher – Aviation

Opportunity available for an experienced concrete finisher / cement mason for our Aviation Dept. This individual must observe all Boh Bros. safety protocols and be drug-free. Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from job sites assigned.

Must have valid US driver’s license and be able to pass high security background checks to obtain badges for entry to various airports, plants and military bases.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

Duties include but are not limited to shoveling concrete, working with hand and power tools to patch, trowel, and finish concrete after placement, apply paint type finishes to concrete with rollers and brushes, checking string lines, housekeeping at job site, checking safety protocol, beginning of shift set-up and end of shift clean-up, etc. Must be able to work in a team setting with other craft workers engaged in heavy construction activities.

• Previous experience with slipform paving equipment (preferably GOMACO RTP 500, TC-600, GP3, GP4) preferred. Airfield paving experience is a plus.
• Experience with stringless technology and knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on slip form paving equipment is a plus.
• Minimum education requirement of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Self-motivated, willing to ask questions and eager to learn.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, cold, heat, humidity, and frequently at heights and in excavations, able to work at various job sites and locations assigned, able to read a tape measure, and understand directions. Also may be exposed to hazards associated with but not limited to dust, odors, fumes, noise, and vibration hazards.

Able to work with various hand and power tools needed to place and finish concrete.

Must have experience in the road or industrial construction field, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions and understand simple directions. Must be devoted and reliable. Current TWIC required.

Must have the ability to work long hours, night shifts, work out of town (per diem applies), and drive long distances to and from work; will be required to work weekends
