The Winter Food Service Associate assists in creating a pleasant guest experience by providing excellent customer service and performing a variety of food and beverage functions during the winter operational season.

How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Winter Food Service Associate, you’ll support daily operations by preparing and serving food and beverages, processing guest transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with guest needs. Your role ensures that every guest enjoys a smooth, safe, and positive dining experience.
A Day in the Life
You’ll spend your day processing transactions, preparing menu items, serving beverages, maintaining stocking levels, and helping keep the Food & Beverage areas clean. You’ll engage with guests, answer questions, make recommendations, and assist team members to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Key Responsibilities
Food & Beverage Operations
- Accurately and efficiently process guests’ transactions using POS terminals.
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently and safely.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, following all applicable alcohol regulations.
- Abide by local and federal health codes.
- Help maintain stocking levels for all sale items including prepackaged food items.
- Assist with cleaning the Food & Beverage areas.
- Assist in training staff, fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
Guest Experience & Safety
- Assist guests with questions, make recommendations, and escalate issues to supervisors or managers as needed.
- Maintain a professional attitude toward guests and staff.
- Promote safety by following safe practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
Operational Support
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Passion for Bogus Basin’s mission.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, and balance for long periods.
- Manual dexterity to handle cash transactions, operate POS systems, and prepare food and beverages.
- Ability to multitask accurately and efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Must have or obtain an alcohol server training certificate within two weeks of hire (resources provided).
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Availability to work entire season, including weekends (mid-October through mid-May).
