Job Summary
The Process Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance. This role involves analyzing workflows, implementing process improvements, and maintaining accurate documentation. The supervisor collaborates with production teams to resolve bottlenecks, leads continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean principles, and conducts regular audits to uphold standards. Additional responsibilities include monitoring daily production, ensuring equipment performance, inspecting product quality, training team members, and enforcing safety and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and Optimize Processes: Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies that enhance productivity and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Production Team: Partner with team members to understand processes, resolve bottlenecks, and deliver practical solutions.
- Document and Maintain Processes: Develop and maintain accurate documentation, including process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Lead Process Improvement Projects: Design and implement new processes aligned with organizational goals and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Conduct Regular Audits: Perform audits to ensure compliance with standards and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Production Oversight: Monitor daily production activities, advise on machine modifications, ensure equipment meets performance standards, and maintain accurate job and scrap ticket records.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products to ensure adherence to quality guidelines and resolve issues promptly.
- Training and Development: Train new associates on quality standards; promote Lean methodologies to improve performance and product quality.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, and plant security measures; respond effectively to emergency situations.
- Manage Plant Costs: Monitor and control operational expenses by analyzing cost drivers, implementing cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor Operations and Correct Issues: Track production performance, identify root causes of problems, and implement timely corrective actions to maintain efficiency and prevent recurrence.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Leads a team of up to 15 employees.
- Build a trusting relationship with work group.
- Partner with HR to recruit, manage, and develop plant staff.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong strategic thinking, logical reasoning, and sound decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and active listening communication skills.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification (or equivalent training).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience.
Physical Demands
- Moderate physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- 20/20 Visions with corrective lenses, if necessary.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity with the ability to grip, grasp, and operate tools.

Work Environment
This position involves working in both production and office settings, including outdoor open-air buildings. Conditions may be dusty and dirty, requiring adherence to safety and cleanliness standards.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening prior to the start date. A physical examination must be completed within six (6) weeks of the employee’s start date to confirm ability to meet job-related physical demands.
