Executive Pastry Chef, Bogey Golf Club St. Louis, MO About the Club: Bogey Golf Club is a small private club located in the heart of St. Louis Missouri. Membership is limited and offered by invitiation only to the city’s top corporate and civic leaders. Our service and excellent culinary teams are what sets the Bogey Club apart. The Club offers Private Banquets only to membership, and executes only one event at a time. Position Specific: This is a unique opportunity to step in as the Executive Pastry Chef. This individual will work with the Exective Chef to create menus for each specific event. The menus are focused on seasonality with a empahasis on creativity and flavors. The vast majority of the dishes stems from a backround in the competition arena, Striving to be the best. Words from the Chef: The food we excecute here daily is something I am very proud of. Duties
- Lead the development and execution of innovative pastry menus, ensuring consistency and quality across all offerings
- Supervise and mentor pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment
- Oversee food preparation, baking, cake decorating, and food handling processes to meet safety standards and customer expectations
- Manage ingredient inventory, ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste
- Ensure all baked goods and desserts are beautifully presented through expert cake decorating and plating techniques
- Oversee packaging of baked products for retail or catering purposes with attention to detail and branding standards
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and health regulations in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop catering menus for events and special occasions
- Monitor kitchen workflow during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of high-quality desserts and pastries
Experience
- Proven pastry experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, cake decorating, food preparation, and food industry standards
- Strong culinary experience with a focus on desserts, confections, and pastry arts
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Proficiency in food handling safety procedures and sanitation practices
- Excellent knife skills combined with creative flair for cake decorating and food presentation
- Prior experience in catering or restaurant environments preferred but not required
