Skilled Clinical Research Coordinator with Phlebotomy Experience.
You will be responsible for recruiting (talking to and educating people) and identifying eligible patients for research, as well as ensuring that research protocols are carried out accurately through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will collaborate with the leading doctor or Principal Investigator (PI) and teammates to recruit, enroll, and monitor research studies.
Position Summary:
The candidate is responsible for identifying eligible patients for research and ensuring research protocols are carried out accurately through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Collaborates with Principal Investigator (PI) to recruit, enroll, and monitor research studies. They are a confident problem solver who can take a complex protocol and apply it to everyday participant visits.
Our ideal candidate is someone who can take big ideas and turn them into actionable steps that can be executed upon. S/he needs to have strong interpersonal skills, be very detailed, organized, self-motivated, and have the ability to maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality, and not be afraid to go the extra mile!

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary contact for multiple studies involving human research with women and children.
- Site lead in working with existing investigators/clinicians, as well as helping with recruiting and onboarding new investigators/clinicians.
- Recruit and screen patients for eligibility for current studies based on established protocols
- Conduct and document the informed consent process
- Monitor participants' progress and report adverse events
- Manage Research Databases - Comfortable with technology
- Maintain Clinical Trial Management System
- Prepare for and conduct study monitor visits and audits
- Serves as a liaison to physicians, investigators, patients, and other staff members regarding the research process and individual protocols
- Strategizes and helps troubleshoot to correct problems
- Escalates issues as needed to the supervisor
- Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of relevant professional experience instead of a degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc) / Google Docs
- Have a genuine passion to work in Clinical Trials
- Comfortable with technology
- Vaccination administration
- Experience working in research, especially as a research coordinator
- Current GCP and familiarity with FDA/ICH regulations
- Phlebotomy
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Quick and eager learner
- Ability to work independently
- Strong critical thinking
- Excellent oral and written communication
- 2 years of experience in a related field (MA, CNA, LPN)
- Working knowledge of research methodology/medical terminology
