Deli Associate

Job description:

Boerne Epicure Gourmet Market is a well-established market. We are currently seeking a full-time Deli Associate to join our team.

Work schedule: Candidates must have availability Monday-Saturday and be able to begin shifts at 7:30AM-3:30PM. The schedule includes one additional day off.

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Take customer orders and process payment accurately

· Answer phones and assist with to-go orders

· Prepare coffee and tea drinks for customers

· Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

· Restock deli case products and bakery items as needed

· Check product quality to ensure freshness. Review “sell by” dates and take appropriate action.

· Maintain proper sanitation and food safety standards

· Follow all company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal employment laws

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Current Texas Food Handler or Food Manager certification
• Previous cashier, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task and stand for long periods of time
• Committed to reliable attendance
• Capacity to take directions and work with others
• Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. while maneuvering throughout the work area and stockroom
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Available to work a variety of hours including holidays and weekends
