Job Summary
The Tractor Operator is responsible for operating tractors equipped with shredder attachments to perform right-of-way vegetation maintenance along highways, freeways, and municipal roadways. This position involves mowing grass, shredding brush, and maintaining roadside areas to ensure safe visibility, proper drainage, and an attractive appearance. Operators are expected to safely maneuver equipment in high-traffic environments while following all traffic control procedures, safety regulations, and company policies.
The role requires routine inspection and maintenance of equipment, accurate completion of daily work logs, and effective communication with supervisors and crew members. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
This position requires frequent travel to job sites and temporary relocation for extended projects. Overnight stays away from home may be required depending on project location and duration. Flexibility, dependability, and a strong commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
