The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 4) to fill a position on the MQ-25A Durability and Damage Tolerance (DaDT) team in Berkeley, Mo .
The MQ-25 program is working the Engineering and Manufacturing Development of 7 flight vehicles and two full-scale test articles for the Navy. The Airframe team is responsible for the design definition and structural analysis of the major structural components of the vehicle. The MQ-25 design includes metallic substructure components, carbon fiber reinforced skins, and uses advanced assembly techniques for its state-of-the-art build.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design
Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements
Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort
Developing fatigue spectra and allowable for shop support
Developing the full-scale fatigue test spectrum
Providing support during execution of the full-scale fatigue test
Maintaining analysis guidelines – fatigue and crack growth
Maintaining the fracture control plan
Performing damage tolerance (crack growth & residual strength) analysis
Automating routine tasks
Works under minimal direction.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Note: The selected candidate needs to be able to work on site 3 days a week (Tues-Thurs).
Export Control:
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics
10 years’ experience in structural analysis
Experience with fatigue and fracture analysis and test
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Boeing Analysis Tool (Caesar, Lifeworks, Michanica, or Common Structures Workstation)
Experience with C , Python, VBA or other programming languages
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD 4 years' related work experience, Master 7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
