Boeing Space & Launch organization has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to be the O3b mPOWER Program Integration Office (PIO) Lead reporting to the O3b mPOWER Program Director.

This position will also encompass the remaining deliveries for the O3b mPower as well as new business and program execution support for all follow-on work associated with the O3b program and customer.  This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Program staffing, Integrated Planning & Scheduling, performance management (operating rhythm, metrics, etc.), program baselines, change board and RIO management, ESGP preparation and reviews, PMBP self-assessments & continuous improvement, PMM, BPR preparation/facilitation, RCCA recovery planning and status reporting

  • Program start-up and program execution responsibilities for follow-on new business under O3b/customer portfolio

  • Reports to the O3b mPOWER Program Director, and will have delegation of authority to act on his/her behalf

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with international and domestic customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • leveraging One Boeing to achieve results

  • Responsible for cost, schedule, technical, and risk management of the O3b mPOWER program and successful delivery of this important capability to our customer

  • The scope of work is firm fixed price development leading a diverse Boeing team of 300-400 equivalent personnel and management of program critical path internal and external suppliers

  • Supports the 702x Product Line by working with the Commercial Satellites Sales and Marketing team on design trades, product line roadmap evolution, and proposal efforts.

  • Develops and implements campaign and business development strategies in pursuit of new business.

  • Assesses overall IPT resource demand and support the Level 1 IPT leads in coordinating resources across the enterprise and supply base.

  • Responsible for Design for Manufacturability and Test (DFMAT), cost and schedule opportunity capture, and rigorous risk management.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience leading engineering project teams

  • 5 years of experience leading or managing a team

  • 5 years of experience managing risks, cost performance and schedule performance

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $192,950 – $261,050
