As a Systems Engineer - Senior Analyst at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be supporting the Engineering Development and Early Integration Labs on the System Integration, Test, and Readiness (SITR) contract. In this role, you will be responsible for performing Systems Engineering Analysis in the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Development and Integration Lab (GDIL). You will support the GMD program through analysis of testing associated with Ground Based Interceptor (GBI), Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicle (EKV), and supporting operational hardware and software.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications: 

• Research and derivation of system requirements (specification and interface definition documents).

• Planning and executing compliance assessments against system requirements.

• Tool development and maintenance (MATLAB).

• Use COTS instrumentation software analysis tools towards root cause analysis.

• Test report documentation (to include potential findings and observations).

• Work effectively in a team environment.

• Support relevant meetings, reviews, briefings, and working groups. 

Required Education and Years of Experience: 

• Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Required Qualifications: ​

• This position requires US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.
• Active US Secret Clearance.
• Research and derivation of system requirements (specification and interface definition documents).
• Planning and executing compliance assessments against system requirements.
• Tool development and maintenance (MATLAB).
• Use COTS instrumentation software analysis tools towards root cause analysis.
• Test report documentation (to include potential findings and observations).
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Support relevant meetings, reviews, briefings and working groups.
• Extensive experience using MATLAB to develop and maintain analytical tools or perform numerical modeling of complex systems.
• Extensive experience in use of COTS instrumentation as software analysis tools.
• Extensive experience analyzing performance data from complex systems.
• Extensive experience developing and briefing analysis results to leadership/customers.
• Extensive experience documenting analysis results in formal reports.
• Extensive experience planning and executing analysis assessments against system specification and interface definition requirements.
• Exercises ingenuity and creativity in solving complex problems.
• Able to develop root cause and fault analysis.
• Knowledge of GMD, GBI, and EKV.

Desired Qualifications: ​

• Advanced demonstrated experience using MATLAB to develop and maintain analytical tools or perform numerical modeling  of complex systems on an MDA and/or GMD program.

• Advanced demonstrated experience in use of COTS instrumentation as software analysis tools on an MDA and/or GMD  program.

• Advanced demonstrated experience developing and briefing analysis results to leadership/customers on an MDA and/or  GMD program.

• Advanced demonstrated experience documenting analysis results in formal reports on an MDA and/or GMD program test  event.

• Advanced demonstrated experience planning and executing analysis assessments against system specification and  interface definition requirements on an MDA and/or GMD program.

• Experience with COTS hardware for analysis, i.e. DEWETRON, RF Waveform, BUS traffic, electric and discrete power  signal acquisition systems, etc.

• Experience with 1553 message format.

• Experience in GBI and EKV software.

• Experience in Launch Management System (LMS) software.

• Experience in software timeline analysis.

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Level 4: $107,00 -$167,000

Level 5: $128,000 - $200,000
