Histotechnician

The CRMDR group at Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Histotechnician to join our team in Ridgefield, CT. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in a leading pharmaceutical company. The position is initially for a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
• Sectioning tissues using microtomy techniques to prepare high-quality slides
• Performing routine, special staining, and IHC/IF procedures
• Whole slide scanning
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Ensuring quality control and accurate documentation of laboratory procedures
• Collaborating with pathologists and research scientists to support ongoing projects
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a histology laboratory is required
• Experience in cell culture is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or a related field preferred
