Description

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Intern to join our Quality Operations Department located at our Athens, GA facility. As an Intern, you will mplement action plans that support GMP-compliant vaccine manufacturing.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing raw material specifications and incoming goods materials to identify gaps related to key chemical attributes and characteristics required for vaccine production
  • Review and assess current documentation to identify missing or incomplete specifications and discrepancies
  • Develop and draft material specifications based on defined material and process requirements
  • Create and support prioritized action plans to close identified gaps, aligned with material criticality and use
  • Document findings, specifications, and actions in a clear, accurate, and GMP-compliant manner, supporting continuous improvement initiatives within Quality Operations


Requirements

    • Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing
    • Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship/co-op
    • Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred
    • Major or minor in related field of internship/co-op
    • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university
    • Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older


Desired Skills, Experience And Abilities

  • Coursework or interest in Quality, Chemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline
  • Ability to analyze technical data and documentation to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Strong attention to detail with an interest in GMP documentation and compliance
  • Effective written communication skills for technical documentation and specification development
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage deliverables, and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams
