Where data meets human potential

Every organization says people are their greatest asset—but few truly understand them. At Boehringer Ingelheim, we believe better decisions begin with understanding how people grow, perform, and thrive. That belief is what built our People Analytics function, and it’s what’s driving us to the next chapter.

We’re seeking an Associate Director, People Analytics who goes beyond charts and models to uncover the human story inside the data. Someone who blends analytical rigor with strategic insight, translating complex analyses into clear, trusted guidance for leaders. If you think like a scientist, act like a consultant, and communicate like a storyteller, this could be your next chapter.

Your Mission

As Associate Director, People Analytics, you will sit at the intersection of HR strategy, business leadership, and behavioral science. Your mission is simple in concept—and complex in execution:

You’ll serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders, helping them frame the right questions and providing evidence‑based answers that drive action
  • Turn insight into action - You’ll craft clear narratives that move leaders from understanding to action—ensuring data not only informs conversations but shapes decisions
  • Advance and elevate the function - You’ll help define best practices, mentor peers, and continuously raise the bar for how analytics is executed, communicated, and embedded into the organization

Requirements

You are curious by nature and rigorous by training. You’re comfortable with complexity and energized by ambiguity. You believe analytics should be both scientifically sound and deeply practical.

You bring:

  • A BA/BS degree required, advanced degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field such as Data Analytics, highly preferred
  • A strong foundation in statistical analysis, research methods, and psychometrics
  • 5-8 years of HR experience within people analytics or workforce analytics or equivalent data/demographic analytics, ideally in a complex or global organization
  • The ability to consult with senior leaders, influence without authority, and translate data into business‑ready insights
  • Expert-level in data manipulation for people analytics measures across the employee lifecycle actuals, trended and variances between metrics
  • Experience working with HR data sources such as engagement surveys, performance data, talent systems, and employee lifecycle metrics
  • Knowledge of systems such as: Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, SuccessFactors, KNIME, SPSS, Qualtrics, Microsoft Fabric and Copilot
  • HRIS experience: SuccessFactors/SAP suite of tools (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of statistical calculations and analytic methods
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and analyses simultaneously while being able to meet deadlines
  • Proven results in the ability to present complex ideas in simple terms to all levels of the organization and influence solutions
  • Advanced expertise in survey design, development and deployment and analysis
  • Ability to combine multiple datasets to drive business decisions, perform regression analysis and create descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
  • Proven results in acting and offering solutions and alternatives to complex data situations; attention to detail, and highly skilled in problem-solving
  • Knowledge of industry, functional, and technical trends, and best practices (e.g., Pharmaceutical, Human Resources, Talent Management, analytics, big data, business intelligence, etc.)
  • Experience in coaching and leading peers without authority a must

Desired Skills, Experience And Abilities

Leaders will be asking better questions about talent.
