Brick and Stone Mason

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in masonry and a strong understanding of various construction techniques. This role involves working on diverse projects, including new builds, renovations, and restorations, where precision and craftsmanship are paramount.

Duties

• Lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry materials according to specifications and blueprints.
• Construct walls, arches, and other structures using various masonry techniques.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and roofers, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout and materials needed.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations.
• Assist in heavy equipment operation when necessary for larger projects.

Skills

• Proficiency in masonry techniques including brick laying, plastering, stucco application, and tile laying.
• Familiarity with frame carpentry, metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and restoration work.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely on construction sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise on-site.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
