Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring items are secured and protected during transit.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, utilizing GPS or maps as necessary.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience operating commercial vehicles, especially box trucks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of goods (up to 50 pounds).
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
