Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Acro/Tumbling Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gymnastics, acrobatics, or tumbling, combined with experience working with children and a dedication to fostering a positive learning environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students of all ages through engaging lessons in acrobatics, tumbling, and related movement arts. The instructor will be responsible for developing curriculum, managing classes, and ensuring the safety and growth of each student. Candidates with skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and experience in early childhood education or special education are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum for acro and tumbling classes tailored to various skill levels and age groups
- Teach engaging and safe classes focused on improving students’ strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive and inclusive environment
- Plan lessons that incorporate elements of dance, theater, or gymnastics to enhance students’ overall performance skills
- Provide individualized instruction and tutoring to support students’ personal progress
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during classes to prevent injuries
- Maintain organized lesson plans and classroom materials, including photography or video documentation of student progress when appropriate
- Collaborate with parents or guardians regarding student development and achievements
Qualifications
- Prior experience in teaching acro/tumbling, gymnastics, dance, or related movement arts
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
- Experience working with children of various age groups; preschool experience or early childhood education background is preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students who have special needs or require behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and teaching methods for early learners
- Skills in photography or videography are a plus for documenting student progress
- Additional experience in ballet, theater arts, sewing, culinary arts, or childcare is beneficial but not required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster a supportive learning environment

Pay: $24.50 - $50.00 per hour
