Responsibilities
- Coach BFT's progressive strength and conditioning programs with energy, confidence, and professionalism.
- Deliver an exceptional member experience by building relationships and creating a welcoming, motivating, and inclusive training environment.
- Demonstrate and coach proper exercise technique while ensuring safe movement quality and providing appropriate exercise modifications when necessary.
- Provide individualized coaching and encouragement for members of all ages, abilities, and fitness backgrounds.
- Monitor class flow while prioritizing safety, movement quality, member engagement, and coaching excellence.
- Maintain the highest standards of studio presentation, cleanliness, and equipment organization before and after every session.
- Support member onboarding, goal setting, progress tracking, and retention initiatives.
- Participate in community outreach events, promotional activities, member challenges, and studio marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach and leadership team to continually improve coaching standards, programming delivery, and member satisfaction.
- Foster a positive team culture by embodying the BFT values of professionalism, accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Personal Trainer, Strength Coach, Group Fitness Coach, or in a comparable coaching role.
- Current nationally recognized Personal Training or Group Fitness certification required (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, AAAI/ISMA, or equivalent).
- Current CPR/AED Certification (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
- Strong understanding of exercise science, biomechanics, functional movement, progressive strength training, and coaching methodology.
- Demonstrated ability to confidently coach members of all ages, experience levels, and fitness abilities in a group training environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering an exceptional member experience.
- A growth mindset with the willingness to receive coaching, constructive feedback, and ongoing professional development as part of the BFT coaching team.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and committed to maintaining the highest coaching standards.
- Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and community events as needed.
- Experience in customer service, member engagement, or fitness sales is considered a strong advantage.
- Passion for building community, creating meaningful relationships, and helping members achieve measurable, long-term results.
