What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Coach position at Bodify Functional Fitness?
This is a results-accountability position. You will lead structured group fitness sessions and design individual training programs for a diverse membership — and you will own their outcomes. Every session you run is intentional, every cue you give is purposeful, and every member you work with deserves a coach who holds the standard, not just encourages the effort.
What you will be accountable for
- Member progress: Track, assess, and drive measurable results for every member you coach. Progress is documented, not assumed.
- Program design: Build individualized programs using our training platforms — tailored to each member's goals, baseline, and trajectory.
- Movement quality: Cue, correct, and coach form in real time during every session. Safe progression is non-negotiable.
- Member relationships: Build trust through expertise and consistency — not just friendliness. Members need to believe you know what you're doing.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Lead dynamic group fitness sessions grounded in functional movement — structured, evidence-based, and progressive
- Deliver and manage individualized personal training programs covering resistance, cardio, and functional conditioning
- Conduct member assessments: body composition analysis, goal consultations, and regular progress check-ins — consistently, not occasionally
- Provide nutritional education and lifestyle guidance that supports each member's wellness goals
- Maintain accurate records, session notes, and program documentation in our systems — consistently, not occasionally
- Uphold facility standards and contribute to a professional, high-performance environment
- Pursue continuing education and stay current with evolving methodologies — stagnation is not an option here
Who we are looking for
- A certified fitness professional (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, or equivalent) with demonstrated coaching experience
- Deep fluency in functional movement, program design, and how to adapt training across diverse populations and ability levels
- A coach who sets the standard for members rather than adjusting the standard to accommodate low effort
- Someone who holds themselves accountable first — consistent attendance, professional presentation, and documentation habits
- A communicator who earns trust through knowledge and results, not just personality
- Receptive to feedback, genuinely growth-oriented, and comfortable being evaluated on member outcomes
