Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diesel engine maintenance and repair, with a focus on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of diesel-powered vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair engine malfunctions using schematics and diagnostic equipment
- Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and propose solutions
- Provide tire services, including rotations, replacements, and repairs
- Service air brake systems to ensure proper functionality
- Handle the transmission of heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform mechanical tasks such as heavy lifting and equipment disassembly
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive diagnostics and repair, particularly with diesel engines
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance
- Ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes
