Journeyman Electrician

Summary:

The Journeyman Electrician will use a company vehicle daily and be a key part of our service team traveling to our customer locations to complete installation and service as needed. They will be required to work as part of the service team and be required to provide troubleshooting and service outside of a typical “Electrical” role.

Responsibilities:  

·      Evaluate and diagnose technical problems and determine proper repair/solutions.

·      Perform installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance service to doors, dock equipment, and various other material handling equipment as part of the Service Team.

·      Operate vehicle in a safe manner.

·      Build positive relationships with customers by providing outstanding and excellent service.

·      Comply with company safety procedures.

·      Pull permits if needed.

·      Mentor and train Apprentice electricians as needed.

Requirements: 

·      Journeyman Electrician license in NH.   A Journeyman license in other New England states a plus.

·      5 years of experience

·      Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.

·      Professional demeanor in all customer and company encounters.

·      Electrical Service a plus

·      Carpentry a plus

·      Self-motivated, team player, with ability to work with minimal supervision.

·      Dependable, excellent attendance and punctual time record

·      Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record

·      Strong communication skills

·      Able to stand for hours at a time and climb ladders, comfortable with heights.

·      Proficient use of power tools and hand tools

·      Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

·      DOT Medical Card will be required, if you do not have one you will need to obtain one the first day of employment.

·      OSHA 10 will be required, if you do not have one you will be set up to take the test in the first week of employment.
