Field Installation Technician

About the Role

BODE is seeking a Field Installation Technician to install, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, doors, dock equipment, and other industrial equipment at customer locations. This hands-on role requires mechanical problem-solving, safe work practices, dependable attendance, and professional customer service.

Responsibilities

· Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment, doors, dock equipment, and other industrial equipment.

· Evaluate equipment issues, troubleshoot mechanical problems, and determine appropriate repairs or solutions.

· Use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely and effectively.

· Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly when traveling to and from job sites.

· Build positive customer relationships through courteous communication, professional conduct, and quality workmanship.

· Work effectively with the installation team and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.

· Follow company safety procedures and job-site safety requirements.

Required Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

· Experience operating a forklift.

· Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, a smartphone, and a tablet computer.

· Professional demeanor and strong communication skills when working with customers and coworkers.

· Self-motivated team player who can work with minimal supervision.

· Dependable attendance and punctuality.

· Valid U.S. driver’s license and a clean driving record.

· Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, work comfortably at heights, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

· Must successfully complete required pre-employment background check and drug screening.

· Must have a Smartphone to hold Applications required to conduct business.

Preferred Qualifications

· Welding experience, especially stick welding or shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).

· Experience with roofing, rigging, or ironwork.

· Technical degree or relevant certification.

Required Credentials and Onboarding

· DOT Medical Card: Required. If you do not have a current card, you must obtain one on the first day of employment.

· OSHA 10: Required. If you do not already have this credential, BODE will arrange for you to complete OSHA 10 training during your first week of employment.
