Production & Equipment Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with Turbo-Flue machines and other equipment.
- Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools for progressive machining operations with close tolerances.
- Maintain equipment integrity, documentation, and AutoCAD drawings.
- Recommend and implement improvements to equipment and processes.
- Maintain inventory of repair parts and order necessary materials.
- Locate vendors or substitute parts for outdated machinery.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
- Design and write computer programs for equipment automation.
- Assist in troubleshooting other production machinery.
- Update and back up technical documentation.
- Ensure production goals and backlog levels are met.
- Guide team members in product assembly using instructions or diagrams.
- Maintain open communication with vendors and internal teams.
- Suggest procedural changes to improve operations.
- Attend at least one work-related training annually.
- Participate in other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance and safety compliance.
- Experience with machine tools (boring, drilling, grinding) and machining fundamentals.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Internet tools.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.
- Experience setting up machines for other operators.
Physical Demands
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, crouching, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Exposure to noise, temperature extremes (40°F–120°F), and dirty conditions due to welding and blasting.
- Use of PPE required (safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots).
