What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Generalist position at Bocada?

Bocada is a small but global software development company looking for a part time HR Generalist. As our HR Generalist, you will contribute at all levels of managing, tracking and developing our human resources systems and data. We are looking for a progressive business person who embraces technology and can help us to master this new, remote way of working and who can contribute to our culture of high performance in a globally dispersed team. We are looking for hands-on people (this is the only HR role in the company) willing to roll their sleeves up to tackle any level of work that needs to be done. We need you to bring your experience and ideas to establish and grow our human resources tools and functions.

The Responsibilities of the HR Administrator:

Build and manage an employee file system;
Build, manage and track on-boarding and off-boarding processes;
Oversee vendors including PEO’s, benefits providers etc.
Develop a sharepoint site for employees to access HR related materials
Oversee employee policies and documentation
Administer employee goals and review processes
Support our payroll processes with PTO tracking, creating commission statements and more

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree is required
7 years of progressive human resources management experience
Strong technical skills with MS suite of tools: Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook etc.
Extremely detail oriented
Experience working with globally distributed (remote) workforce
Experience working in software development or technology companies
Willingness to be flexible around schedule and hours worked
Ability to work independently and drive outcomes
