Position Summary:

Responsible for providing massage services to the Members of Boca Woods Country Club.

Responsibilities:

• Guide clients through service offerings and determine which massages would benefit them most.
• Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions.
• Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body.
• Advise clients on stretching, strengthening, or relaxation methods.
• Suggest future massage appointments and a regime to clients.
• Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire.
• Provide massage services during normal operational hours.
• Prepare massage rooms prior to services and maintain massage room appearance.  
• Transport linens to laundry facilities.
• Boca Woods will provide laundry, linen, basic oils and cleaning products- all other necessary materials must be provided by the massage therapist.
• Ensure proper billing of clients through established Boca Woods procedures.
• Attend require trainings, workshops, and staff meetings.
• Assume other duties as assigned by Fitness Director.

Requirements:

• Licensed in the State of Florida for massages.
• CPR /First Aid and AED Certification required.
• One year of minimum experience.
• Availability of services, as needed.
• Must maintain active professional liability insurance throughout the duration of the contract and provide proof of coverage upon request.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
