What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Boca West Master Association?
Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Director, Assistant Director, and/or supervisor, performs scheduled landscaping and maintenance activities using motorized equipment and hand tools to maintain designated areas at Boca West. This includes pruning trees, planting flowers and shrubbery, maintaining plant bed areas, edging, trimming, fertilizing, mulching, mowing and maintaining turf.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•Prepares soil and plants flowers, trees, bushes, hedges, or shrubs.
•Trims and edges around cart paths, medians, flower beds and roadways.
•Mows lawn using a riding mower, edges sidewalks, curbs, trims fence lines, etc.
•Spreads mulch in designated areas.
•Prunes shrubs, shapes trees, removes damaged branches.
•Shapes all inside and outside hedges.
•Rakes and cleans all plant beds, removes litter and vegetative debris.
•Picks up trash and debris and disposes of trash in proper containers daily.
•Inspects and fuels all assigned equipment daily and lubricates all fittings.
•Cleans assigned equipment at the end of every workday.
•Attends monthly safety meetings.
•Reports all injuries to supervisor, Assistant Director, or Director immediately.
•Adheres to the Association’s policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Policy Manuals, and Safety and Security guidelines.
•Performs other duties as determined by the Director, Assistant Director, Supervisor or Executive Director.
