LEAD Accountant- JUNEAU Location- Must Relocate to Juneau ALASKA

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in various accounting disciplines, including GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory reporting

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• Perform Payroll
• Perform general ledger accounting and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial management tools for daily operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial concepts like double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, and debits & credits to ensure consistency across all financial records.

Requirements

• Proven experience in corporate accounting, governmental accounting, or non-profit accounting environments.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing and financial analysis techniques.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant financial management tools.
• Extensive knowledge of cash management practices including forecasting and liquidity management.
• Experience with account reconciliation processes including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
• Effective communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating across teams.
