Bobcat of Big Flats, a division of Upstate Equipment, is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team! Upstate Equipment is Veteran Owned and Operated.
Service Advisors are responsible for all customer (external and internal) interactions with the service department with regard to the repair/maintenance of their equipment (loaders, excavators, attachments, etc.) It is their job to understand the customer's needs/issues and, in turn, relay those to service technicians to ensure outstanding service delivery. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and oversees daily service department operations. Job Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers, listen to their questions/concerns and provide timely responses.
- Educate clients about the company's products, services and offers.
- Schedule appointments, provide estimates, monitor service progress, calculate charges and process payments.
- Manage complaints and resolve customer grievances.
- Record customer details and transactions in POS system.
- Serve as a link between customers and the service department.
- Ensure Service Department customers are completely satisfied with their experience.
- Manage work orders from open through closeout, including submitting warranty claims and following them through to payment.
- Inspect and evaluate incoming used equipment, and receive and process new equipment arrivals.
- Assist hands-on with maintenance and minor repairs when technician capacity requires it.
- Research diagnostic, repair and parts information using all available resources, including manufacturer service literature, diagnostic software, technical bulletins, factory support, company troubleshooting procedures and prior completed work orders.
- Document diagnosis, parts used and repair steps thoroughly on every work order so completed jobs serve as a reference for future repairs
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Strong customer service skills required
- Strong communication skills required
- Analytical skills and troubleshooting ability
- Team focused
- Previous Service Department Advisor Experience or Compact/Heavy Equipment experience/knowledge
- Self-directed, comfortable managing a full slate of open work orders without daily supervision
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
