Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Crane Tech/Mechanic role based in Humble, TX. The Crane Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mobile cranes and related lifting equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. Daily tasks include performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and documenting all work performed in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The role involves working closely with operators, rigging crews, and supervisors to diagnose problems, coordinate repairs, and support safe lifting operations in the field and in the shop. The Crane Technician will also help maintain a clean, organized work area, follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing cranes, heavy equipment, or similar machinery.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems as they apply to cranes and lifting equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Commitment to safety, including adherence to OSHA, industry standards, and company safety policies.
- Capability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently and within a team.
- Effective communication skills to work with operators, supervisors, and customers in a professional manner.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, lift and carry equipment, and perform tasks at heights as required.
