Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Server to join our vibrant restaurant team! As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert beverage and food knowledge, and a welcoming attitude. Your role is vital in creating memorable dining moments, ensuring guests feel valued and satisfied from start to finish. This position receives Tips. Base wage is 4.00 per hour.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide prompt, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Upsell menu items, including wines and specialty beverages, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including sales transaction processing and handling tips appropriately
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing tables and assisting with sanitation practices
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong knowledge of beverage service, including cocktail mixing, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle guest relations effectively
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
• Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Previous experience with culinary or kitchen environments is advantageous but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
