Upstate Equipment is a leading provider of compact and heavy equipment, and we are looking for a motivated and dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our team for a one year sales opportunity in an established territory, with the possibility of a full-time position based upon performance. As an Outside Sales Representative for Upstate Equipment, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving sales, and promoting the Bobcat brand. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual with a passion for interpersonal relationships, heavy machinery and the drive to excel in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- This individual is in the direct point of contact with a customer and in charge of ensuring the customer’s needs and expectations are met.
- Schedule consistent sales calls and visits to current and potential customers.
- Develop rapport with current customers, maintaining satisfaction to ensure ongoing business.
- Responsible for securing business, related but not limited to demonstrating products, assisting in technical presentations, offering consultative assistance in areas of machine specifications, attachments, etc. based on customer type and individual applications of machinery.
- Drive market share within your territory by winning competitive deals.
- Meet or exceed Company targets for units sold, revenue, gross profit, and market share.
- Promote the rental, service, and parts departments when interacting with customers or prospects.
- Evaluate trade-in equipment.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings and sales training sessions as required to stay current with new equipment and sales programs.
- Monitors competitors’ activity/products and provides timely communication to sales management.
- Follows the standard for conduct within the department. Provide a positive, proactive attitude and cooperate with all company employees, vendors, and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
- Outside Sales experience is encouraged, but we are willing to work with the right skill set.
- Strong understanding of common computer software (Microsoft Office, Google Drive, etc).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to meet clients within the assigned territory utilizing the company provided vehicle.
