Job Information

This position entails the effective procurement of commodities used in the manufacturing or sales of Doosan Bobcat products. Commodities may include raw materials (such as steel), finished components (such as hydraulic planers), or indirect.

As a buyer, you will be tasked to manage tactical data to support commodities.

Role & Responsibility

Supply Management

• Advise Category Leader and/or Manager of any potential major supplier problems that could adversely affect supply of components.
• Review and create purchase orders with accuracy.
• Maintain accuracy of purchase orders on systems (part number and price).
• Maintain data integrity in all purchasing systems and files.
  
  

Strategy

• Facilitate the implementation of strategies to achieve ongoing cost, quality, and delivery improvement.
• Project Support:
• Support Category Leader/Manager with all project activity.
  
  

General Knowledge & Skills

• Issue RFQ’s and load the appropriate quotes as directed by Category Leaders/Manager
• Work closely with Category Leader/Manager and Supply Chain Analysts to solve problems.
• Effectively manage multiple tasks and take initiative and work independently to achieve objectives.
• Perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines within resource constraints.
  
  

Communication/Soft Skills

• Build strong value adding relationships with supplier, internal customers, and cross functional departments.
• Provide forecast and schedules to suppliers as required.
• Assist new team members with Systems and process (Oracle, SAP, EFI, etc.)
  
  

Job Requirement

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Equivalent education and/or experience allowed.
• 0>2 years’ experience.
• Ability to assess the economic impacts of supplier tooling costs, lead times, and unit costs.
• PC Skills, Excel, Oracle, Power Point.
• Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Less than 10% travel required.
