Job Title: Yard Technician/Delivery Driver (Laborer)
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly (non-exempt) position $19.00 - $22.00 DOE
Reports To: Branch Manager
Yard/ Driver Job Summary
Within the position you support the Fresno Location, assisting with loading and unloading equipment from company vehicles and trailers, making deliveries and pick-ups when instructed, general cleanup of the facility, and greeting and assisting customers in the yard.

Core Duties & Responsibilities
Equipment Handling & Logistics
- Safe Delivery & Transport: Safely transport, unload, and load equipment using company vehicles and trailers. Assisting 3rd party trucking companies with loading/unloading as needed.
- Staging: Organize and arrange equipment in designated areas of the yard to maximize space and ensure easy access for transport drivers.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Inspect incoming equipment for damage, missing parts, or fluid leaks, and accurately report findings to the service or rental manager.
- Logistics & Data Recording: Accurately record machine hours, fuel consumed, and report details to the Inventory Manager upon equipment return.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with locating, loading/unloading and providing basic operation instructions when necessary.
Cleaning & Detailing
- Pressure Washing: Thoroughly clean, power-wash, and degrease heavy machinery, vehicles, and attachments returned from rentals or prepping for sale.
- Cab Detailing: Clean the interior of equipment cabs (vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, cleaning windows) to ensure a professional presentation.
- Detailing: Apply touch-up paint or new decals to equipment as directed to maintain the company's branding and appearance standards.
General Maintenance & Support
- Fluid & Filter Checks: Check and replenish all fluid levels (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, DEF) and inspect filters before returning any machine to inventory.
- Battery Maintenance: Jump-start dead batteries, clean terminals, and maintain the yard’s battery charging station.
- Basic Repairs: Perform minor preventative maintenance tasks, such as greasing pivot points, changing air filters, and checking tire pressure.
- Equipment Assembly: Assist in the assembly and setup of new equipment as needed.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep shop tools, pressure washers, and yard vehicles clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Facility Upkeep & Safety
- Yard Cleanliness: Keep the entire yard, wash bay, and shop areas free of debris, trash, and hazards.
- Wash Bay Maintenance: Safely operate the pressure washer in strict compliance with safety instructions. Perform routine maintenance on the pressure washer and keep the wash bay area clean and free of hazards.
- Waste Management: Safely dispose of hazardous materials (used oil, filters, batteries) according to company and environmental regulations.
- Groundskeeping: Perform basic grounds maintenance, including weed control, snow removal from walkways/driveways, sweeping shop floors and daily emptying of trash and recyclables.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA and company safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Yard/ Driver Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus.
· Knowledge of safe work procedures and practices.
· Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
· Ability to work with limited supervision.
· Must be a well-organized, thoughtful, and self-motivated person.
· Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Environment: Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Physical Strength: Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs. regularly and spend most of the shift standing, walking, climbing onto equipment, and bending.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license required (Forklift certification or trailer towing experience is a major plus).
