Job Title: Service Technician (Mechanic)

Job Type:Full-time, Hourly (non-exempt) position ($32.00 - $40.00 to start. DOE.

Reports to: Branch Manager and or Service Manager

Job Summary

As a Service Technician (Mechanic) this is a great opportunity to use your knowledge and skills at a high level of efficiency within our Sacramento Location. The Apprentice Service Technician must be able to understand the basics of troubleshooting and recommend a diagnosis of services to the Supervisor and Customers.

Service Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to operate P/C.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Assists in the rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining of equipment and components.
• Maintains all equipment and work areas – keeps in good, clean, and orderly condition.
• Work within your area with little to no supervision.
• Completes all documents associated with repairs, clearly with legible work order notes in a timely manner.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
• Prior heavy equipment and farm tractor service experience as a technician mandatory.
• Prior Compact Construction Equipment and / or Compact Tractor Experience valuable.
• Prior Kubota or Bobcat Brand experience a real plus.
• Valid class C license.

Service Technician Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

.Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus.

· Ability to work within CDK/PFW Intellidealer) system or similar.

· Knowledge of heavy equipment air conditioning systems and their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

· Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with.

· Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.

· Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 4 years (Required)
• Farm machinery: 2 years (Required)
• Service technician: 3 years (Preferred)
• Equipment repair: 2 years (Required)
