Role Description Painters at Bobby's Painting Company, Inc. perform day-to-day tasks such as preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and completing finishing work for residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities include surface cleaning, sanding, priming, taping, and protecting surrounding areas, as well as using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes. Painters follow safety procedures, maintain tools and equipment, and collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on schedule and according to client requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, NC, requiring dependable attendance and the ability to work on various job sites in the area.
Qualifications
- Ability to work with paint materials, including proper mixing, color matching, and application techniques.
- Skills in Painting and Decorating, with attention to detail and finishing quality in both residential and commercial settings.
- Experience with Coatings, including primers, sealants, and protective finishes for different surfaces.
- Proficiency in general Painting methods using brushes and rollers, ensuring even coverage and clean lines.
- Spray Painting experience, including safe operation of spray equipment and appropriate use for interior and exterior projects.
- Understanding of job-site safety practices, ladder and scaffold use, and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, communicate clearly with supervisors and team members, and interact professionally with clients.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and work at heights for extended periods; valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is preferred.
- Previous painting or construction experience is beneficial; vocational training or certifications in painting or coatings are a plus.
