Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and dump trucks, ensuring they operate safely and effectively. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, understanding schematics, and performing heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and dump trucks, including oil changes, brake replacements, and engine diagnostics.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate forklifts when required to move heavy parts or equipment safely.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably in Cat Equipment.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as part of routine tasks.
- Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus, with the capability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications in automotive repair are preferred but not mandatory.
