What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Bobby Jones Links?
The host/hostess offers outstanding service for our guests as they arrive and depart the dining room which includes professional phone skills, management of the reservation book, assisting the servers as needed, and monitoring the dining room for cleanliness.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet and seat members and guests with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Knowledgeable of table numbers, section numbers, and proper table rotation.
- Inspect dining room prior to opening to ensure cleanliness, proper setup, and presentation.
- Organize the Host/Hostess station.
- Ensure menus and wine lists are clean and presentable.
- Manage the guest reservation book and system.
- Assist servers that are busy or overloaded.
- Bus and reset tables.
- Frequently check the restrooms for cleanliness and supplies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
- Indoor conditions that may be warm.
- Work near: grill and fryer.
- Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
