QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in education
An understanding of teaching and the duties of a special education teacher
Eligibility to hold a valid instructional certificate as issued by the Department of Education for the state of Arkansas
Any alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable and reasonable
REPORTS TO: Principal
Job Goal: Intervention Teacher (K–6)
The goal of this position is to provide high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in grades K–6. The Intervention Teacher will collaborate effectively and positively with the classroom teachers to ensure all students receive an supportive, and rigorous educational experience. The teacher will foster strong communication, maintain compliance requirements, and work as a team member to promote student success and growth across all learning environments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Evidence of successful experience in working with students at risk.
- Evidence of ability to work well with others.
- Evidence of strong writing and organizational skills.
- Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.
