Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the quality standards of our café.
Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in managing inventory levels by restocking supplies as needed and reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Utilize Aloha POS system or other point-of-sale systems for processing transactions effectively.
- Engage with customers to promote sales and suggest menu items based on their preferences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
- Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems is a plus; experience with Aloha POS is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Must be able to adhere to food handling safety standards.
