Team Member

The ideal Boba Oppa Bobarista is someone passionate about making boba, brewing tea, and curating a memorable experience for our customers. Your role will encompass the art of preparing and serving various boba beverages to customers according to our recipes and standards. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, stocking and replenishing supplies, and assisting with opening and closing duties.

As a Bobarista at Boba Oppa, you'll be more than just a drink maker. You’ll be setting the tone and creating the positive energy our customers look forward to when they visit us for their fresh, handmade boba experience.

The Bobarista will be responsible for

• Preparing a diverse range of boba tea drinks, following our recipes, and maintaining our quality standards.
• Prepare and cook boba, ensuring they are always the perfect texture and flavor.
• Knead boba dough daily to make the freshest boba for all our drinks. No preservatives are used here!
• Craft drinks with precision, adding ingredients, ice, and boba pearls to create stunning and delicious concoctions.
• Welcome customers with a warm and friendly demeanor, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations on our menu offerings.
• Accurately process payments, manage cash, and provide customers with receipts
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area and ensure that equipment and utensils meet health and safety standards.
• Strictly adhere to our established recipes, portion sizes, and quality control guidelines to guarantee consistent drink quality and presentation.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to maintain a seamless operation during peak business hours.

Desired qualifications:

• Food Handlers required by State or local Health Department
• Applicant must have a deep love for boba tea and a desire to become a boba artisan.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are the backbone of our team at Boba Oppa. If you share this belief, we'd love to hear from you.
• If you have prior experience in a similar role as a barista or within the food and beverage industry, we recognize and value your skills. This experience is a major plus in our book.
• We’re looking for a friendly and outgoing personality with a genuine passion for customer interaction with individuals and groups of people.
• Applicant must thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding a clean and organized workspace.
• Able to work a complete shift on your feet and strength to lift and push at least 25 lbs.
• Flexibility in terms of working hours, including availability on holidays and weekends.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
