What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic position at BOB SUMEREL TIRE CO?

This position is needed for one of North America’s largest commercial truck tire dealerships offering suspension and mechanical repair services.

$25-$30 to start based on years of heavy duty truck experience. Potential monthly incentives up to $1,500 after 90 days.

Duties Will Include

· Perform medium and heavy-duty truck suspension, air brake and steering diagnosis, repair and replacements.
· Replace king-pins, re-bush axles.
· Complete annual federal DOT inspections.
· Complete standard chassis preventative maintenance
· Alignment of class 4-8 trucks utilizing Hunter alignment rack
· Accomplish Federal Annual Inspections and corrections of found issues by troubleshooting, repairing, removing, and replacing components within our scope of work.

Requirements

· Heavy duty truck repair, verifiable shop experience with truck and trailer suspensions required. Minimum 2 years of experience
· Experience in the alignment of class 4-8 trucks
· Must demonstrate strong organizational skills
· Must possess the ability to work on your own
· Possess own tools for completing required work
· Extremely detail oriented
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Must have a mechanical aptitude
