Duties
- Prepare ingredients for baking, including measuring, mixing, and portioning doughs and batters
- Assist in the assembly of baked goods such as pastries and bread
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Support the food production team during heavier prep periods by ensuring timely completion of prep list.
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling and safety protocols
- Contribute to high-volume baking operations by following recipes accurately and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry work is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued
- Familiarity with food handling, and kitchen equipment such as mixers and knives is a plus
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment like a bakery, restaurant, or catering service is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety management practices to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Ability to work efficiently during high-volume production times while maintaining attention to detail
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
