Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or Toast POS.
- Upsell menu items including wines cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings and spirits to enrich guest experiences
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs
- Ability to upsell effectively by highlighting menu features like cocktails, wine selections, or specialty dishes
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred to better understand menu items and preparation standards
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with fine dining service or hospitality environments is a plus
- Basic math skills for cashiering and sales transaction processing
- Cocktail experience to craft beverages confidently and educate guests on drink options
