POSITION SUMMARY: The undergraduate lab assistant will assist Exercise & Sport Science faculty with laboratory supervision, fitness assessment, and research.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Exercise Science faculty with human subject research-related tasks
- Coordinate lab scheduling with either the Human Performance Lab or the Fitness & Wellness Lab
- Conducts health, fitness and performance testing for BJU faculty, staff, students and residents of Greenville community
- Instructs and supervises students in the appropriate usage of common laboratory equipment and tests in the Human Performance Laboratory (HPL)
- Conducts community engaged work such as Fall Prevention program and Exercise is Medicine On Campus
- Identifies, communicates, and rectifies laboratory maintenance concerns
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Currently enrolled as a student at BJU in the Kinesiology or Personal Training program
- Students in Health Sciences, pre-med, pre-PA, Public Health programs considered
- Must be a good communicator and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Clearly demonstrate leadership and/or collaborative skills
