What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Technology Assistant (Student) position at Bob Jones University?
POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor technology classroom labs and assist students and faculty with any needs that arise.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the labs for cleanliness and orderliness and promote a general atmosphere conducive to learning and study
- Answer questions from students and faculty regarding use of technology in the rooms
- Keep stock of supplies including paper and toner for the printers, staplers, hand sanitizer, hole punches, etc., and replenish as needed
- Administer placement tests with provided instructions
- Troubleshoot basic issues with computers, cables, overhead projectors, printers, and software
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Good troubleshooting ability
