Bob Johnson Ford is looking for an experienced and motivated Parts Counter Person to join our team in Avon, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone with dealership parts experience, especially Ford experience, who is organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced service and parts environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience assisting technicians, retail customers, and wholesale customers with identifying, ordering, and supplying the correct automotive parts. Ford dealership experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to training the right candidate with strong automotive parts knowledge.
What You’ll Do
You will play an important role in supporting our service department, technicians, and customers by making sure the right parts are located, ordered, received, and billed accurately.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist technicians, service advisors, wholesale customers, and retail customers with parts needs
- Look up and identify the correct parts by make, model, VIN, and repair order information
- Source and order parts through Ford systems and approved vendors
- Track incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership and service department
- Communicate with technicians and advisors regarding parts availability, pricing, and delays
- Handle special orders, backorders, returns, and warranty parts
- Maintain accurate records for parts ordered, received, billed, and returned
- Help manage inventory accuracy and organization within the parts department
- Package and ship parts back to the manufacturer when needed
- Support monthly sales goals, gross profit goals, and customer satisfaction standards
